🍓 National Strawberry Month just passed but the season is not over! Not even close. In fact, berry season is in full swing which means we have no excuse not to be loading up on all the fantastic antioxidants that come with a handful of fresh, juicy berries. While statistically the average American is not ingesting the recommended daily fruit and veggie intake, 94% of American households are consuming strawberries. Good job America! 🍓
Don’t forget berries such as blueberries, raspberries, strawberries are super versatile and highly rich in natural compounds called flavonoids that prevent hypertension and help lower blood pressure. They are also an excellent source of vitamin C and vitamin K as well as provide a pretty good dose of fiber (making them a great fruit/berry to add to your morning smoothies, parfaits or cereals).
