Rich and creamy chocolate ganache

Valentine’s day is approaching! What better day is there to celebrate heart-healthy eating with all our favorite Valentine’s Day favorites —berries and dark chocolate — than today? The chocolate ganache topped with berries of your choice makes a perfect dessert to celebrate with your loved one(s). And the great thing about this recipe is that it is done in 5 minutes so you won’t spend the day in your kitchen.


This is a recipe I started to prepare when I was 12! I observed my mother preparing it for her guests and cooking classes, it used to be in the form of a terrine with Morello cherries but I made it simpler and it is as good if not better!


Dark chocolate is a nutritional bomb so you have good reasons to enjoy some in moderation, the darker the better of course! So here is the simplest recipe ever!


1 cup cream
8 ounces chocolate chips
2.5 ounces glucose or butter


  • Place the cream and the glucose (or butter) in a pot, heat over low/medium heat.
  • Once the cream is starting to boil, turn off the heat and add the chocolate chips. Stir well until it melts and voilà. Told you it was that easy!
  • Place some ganache in cute tasting glasses and top them with berries, mint, candied orange zests, …
